Branson

Third Stop: Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. This was our first time to go during Christmas and we absolutely loved it! Owen loved all the lights and the Christmas Parade!! He even sat through the Frosty show and got on stage with all the other kids (but mommy had to come too). He spent the whole time ewwing and awing over everything! We had so much fun!!

sitting on stage at the Frosty show...

Owen absolutely LOVED the Choo-Choo Train! There's a real train at Silver Dollar City that takes you around the whole park and every time Owen heard it...he would start saying "Choo-choo, Choo-choo", get a surprised look on his face, and start looking for it everywhere. He loved it so much that we would stand by the railroad crossing (when we knew it would be coming by soon) just so he could wave at the train.

We also went on the Christmas train ride while we were there. Owen was so excited to see the train, but I don't think he actually realized he was riding on the train. He also decided to be vocal during the Christmas Story. The train was stopped, there was complete silence (other than Owen), and everyone was watching and listening intently.... and Owen was "ewing and awing", pointing and waving, and saying "hi, hi, hi" in a very sweet but load voice. Ha! I guess he was really touched by the story...

Owen also really enjoyed the Christmas Parade!! It was so cute to see his little face light up with excitement and awe. He was so sweet and love saying "Hi" and waving to everyone/everything that went by. He loved the parade so much that we watched it 4 times!

amazed by the Gingerbread Man....

shaking Frosty's hand....

"Hi, Hi, Hi"

Owen was excited to see Santa this year! We had to wait in line for about 15 minutes, but when it was his turn he walked right up to Santa (by himself) and reached up. I was so surprised! And when Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas, Owen said cars! Such a big boy!!

Owen LOVES cut outs! He would've stay here and played with the cutouts the entire time if we would've let him!

Owen watching the light show! He loved to point and say "lights" lights"

Owen wasn't quite tall enough to ride the rides, but we just carried him up there, acted like he was, and they let us on the rides. We only tried 2 rides: The Tea Cups and Dumbo. The Tea Cups were not such a great idea, but he loved the Dumbo ride and couldn't get enough of it! Every time it stopped he would start saying "more, more, more".

Searching for Arkansas blogs this morning and found you, so glad I did! These pictures are precious, Owen' expressions are priceless! I had no idea Silver Dollar City was open at Christmas. Our grandsons might love to do this, on my to do list now! Come visit me at Granny Mountain, we live just outside Rogers on Beaver Lake...
