We had another ultrasound on Thursday. The Loving Choices clinic in Fayetteville was offering free ultrasounds so they could train students on how to use the machines and what to look for. We originally wanted to get an appointment towards the middle of October, with the hopes that they might be able to tell us the sex of the baby. When I called to make the appointment all of the free appointment slots were booked so we put our name on the list in case anyone cancelled. About ten minutes after I hung up I got a call saying that someone cancelled and we could come on Thursday. We jumped at the chance to see our baby for the second time in just over a week!
The pictures are a little blurry, but there is a (singular) baby in there!
As soon as we got into the room I was already asking if the ultrasound tech could tell us what the baby is! She said she would try, but had never been able to tell this early before. As soon as she started the ultrasound we got a good view of the baby's bottom, she made a noise and Josh said "it's a boy!". The ultrasound tech seemed surprised and asked if Josh saw that too, I think he was just hopeful, but she seemed to think he might be right! She continued the ultrasound measuring everything on the baby. Everything went really well and we spent about 30 minutes looking at all different angles of the baby, it was very exciting and everything looked good! The baby measured about four days ahead which is good! After she had seen everything that she wanted to see she began trying to get another good angle to see what the baby might be. She looked at several angles and kept telling us that it is still early and she couldn't be 100%, but seemed pretty confident that it is a boy!
