First Haircut

Ava Kate got her first haircut on November 16th.  She was sporting a pretty good mullet, so we decided it was time to start shaping it up a bit and rid her of the mullet!

I thought the haircut itself would be a challenge and that I would end up having to hold her, but she sat there perfectly still and seemed to really enjoy it.  I guess she's already got the whole "girl thing" figured out and loves to be pampered! 

Cecily did a great job but didn't want me to take a picture because it looked more like a boys haircut.  Ha!  She shaped it up and stacked it in the back....so now all we need is the front of her hair to start growing!

Haircuts

The whole family got haircuts on Friday. Owen was starting to sport a mullet...so a haircut was desperately needed!! This was Owen's first trip to the salon and he was curious about everything, especially the dryer that mommy had to sit under.

Owen was really good at the beginning, he just sat there eating his fig newtons but then....

he started moving....

...and decided he was done getting his haircut!

After the haircut fiasco, we headed to chic-fil-a for a mommy and son date night. Owen ate almost half of a char-grilled chicken sandwich and a whole fruit cup (except the apples)...which was great because he hadn't much of anything all day. We Love Chic-fil-a!!!

Hair cut # 3

Owen has been needing another hair cut for a long time and we finally made time for it last night. It took three of us to get it done.... Aunt Amanda fed him fig newtons, I held his arms, and Cecily cut his hair while Josh took pictures. He was a pretty good sport about it as long as Aunt Amanda kept the food coming.

I also got my hair cut and colored...Owen wasn't too sure about all the foil in my hair. He kept staring at me and trying to pull it out.

Owen not only got his hair cut, but he also had a play date with Judd. It was so fun to watch them interact. They stared at one another, crawled all over each other, hugged, kissed, and...Owen even decided that he needed to start crawling and sitting in the bumpo again. They had a blast together!
