Sugar Bowl

We made a last minute decision to go to the Sugar Bowl. It wasn't exactly the ending that we had hoped for, but it was definitely a fun get away with friends. We flew out of Kansas City and got to enjoy some true KC food. And the good eating definitely continued in New Orleans...my favorite was Acme Oyster!

There were so many Razorback fans in New Orleans...you couldn't walk down the street without bumping into someone you knew!

the dentist...

Okay...so I'm still trying to catch up on all my blogging! Owen went to his first dentist appointment back at the beginning of December. A friend had recommended Pediatric Dental Associates, so we decided to try them out.

The place was amazing! It looked nothing like a dentist office...it was actually more like a Rain Forest Cafe or T-Rex Cafe. There were so many fun things for things for the kids to interact with!!

Here a few pictures of the waiting room! It was so much fun...we were kinda sad that they called us back so quickly!

Owen loved checking out all the fish!

The Razorback Fan Club area...

The office part was a fun environment with lots of bright colors and TVs above each chair...but Owen was still unsure about everything! He wanted to watch the movie but didn't want them to touch him. He kept saying "home, home, mommy home" and when it came time for them to brush fluoride on his teeth, we had to hold him down. They were really fast and Owen cheered up quickly with a few stickers!

No cavities...Yay!!

Saying bye-bye to the Razorback...

Happy Birthday Aunt Anna!!

We celebrated Aunt Anna's 19th birthday on Friday night. The girls came over for dinner, cupcakes, and to play with Owen, of course. He loves when they come over and is such a big flirt with Emily. He gets their undivided attention and completely eats it up!

The menu: Burrito bowls and cupcakes...per Anna's request

Happy Birthday to you....

Owen loves playing with these girls...probably because they do whatever he wants. At one point he had them both hiding in the closet with him!!

Snow Day...

Thursday was a fun and relaxing snow day. The day started with a fun breakfast consisting of eggs with star and heart shaped toast...apparently things taste better if they're a fun shape. We were completely lazy after filling our bellies and spent the whole morning in out pjs! (well...Josh and Owen actually spent the whole day in their pjs)

Owen loved looking out at the snow! And he really wanted Honey to stand at the door and see the snow too. He kept saying "Honey, come here, snow....Honey, come here, snow". It was so cute!!

giving Honey hugs...

Owen and Honey have become big buds! He wakes up in the morning asking for Honey and has to give her a hug every night before bed....so sweet! He loves playing with her and she is VERY tolerant to all of his ideas/ways of playing...even when he sits on her like a horse and says "yee ha"!

After some lunch and a nap, we headed outside to play in the snow! Owen's favorite part was sledding, which was quiet a workout for Josh and I! This was Owen's first time to really play in the snow...and he had a blast! I think he would have stayed out all day if we would have let him!

Summerford Christmas....

We celebrated Christmas with the Summerfords the Monday after Christmas. It was a nice relaxing night with good food and lots of entertainment from Owen. We had all eaten as much "traditional" Christmas food as we could handle, so Lisa changed it up a bit and made shrimp and grits. It was delicious! After dinner, we exchanged presents and played with all the new toys. Owen was the center of attention and loved every minute of it!!

Owen absolutely loves his kitchen! He really likes to put all his trains, Toy Story 3 characters, and farm animals in the microwave, Ha! He also likes to get all my spatulas, cookie cutters, and measuring cups and put them in HIS kitchen.
