Honey

Honey has been obsessed with Owen's Razorback. She doesn't like to chew on it or play with it...she just likes to lay with it on her bed. Josh takes it away and as soon as we turn our backs or leave the room... she gets it again! I caught her in the act the other day and thought I would share the pics....

Potty Chair

Owen's got his first potty chair! Yes, I know he's not quite 18 months and probably no where near ready for potty training.... but he's been showing interest in the potty and I really don't want him crawling all over our toilet (which he has already tried). He's also been telling us when he goes pee pee and poo poo, so we thought he could at least sit on his own potty and pretend.

checking it out for the first time...

Chezzin' it....

He only sits on the potty for about 3.5 seconds each time, stands up, then sits down again. We've talked about what the potty is for, but I'm pretty sure he has no idea. The other night he sat on the potty, then stood up, walked to his room and peed on the floor. Ha! I guess the potty will just be here when he's ready!

Cleaning...

I spent Sunday afternoon cleaning the house, re-organizing Owen's closet, and making our living room look more like a living room rather than a play room. Owen was such a great helper and really loved pushing around the vacuum and dusting. Now if we can just get him to pick up his toys..Ha!

I should have taken a before picture for comparison, but here's the finished product. I had to take a picture because it will not look like this for long!

Bath Time

Owen loves bath time! After dinner every night, I typically say "Owen, are you ready to take a bath" and he usually takes off running to his bathroom. But the other night when I asked him if he was ready, he took off running to our jacuzzi bath....

He had so much fun splashing and swimming in the big bath tub! We decided to add to all the excitement by adding bubbles. He was a little unsure at first....but quickly decided that loved bubbles!

He couldn't figure out why the bubbles got all over his face every time he wiped his eyes...

Play Ball!

The second week of Miracle League was a success!! When we arrived on Saturday morning, the paint on field 2 was still wet....which required a few schedule changes! But overall everything went smoothly and all the players and volunteers just enjoyed playing ball!

Grandparents Day...

Owen's daycare celebrated Grandparent's Day with a "grandparents lunch". Beema was the only one that was able to attend....but it looks like they had a great time!!

Labor Day

As usual I'm behind on posting.....Here are some pics from Labor Day. We decided to take advantage of the day off and the nice weather with a walk around Lake Fayetteville.

When we started our walk, we thought the entire Lake Fayetteville trail was paved....but on our way to the park the paved trail came to an end! We decided to continue on, thinking the dirt trail wouldn't/couldn't be very long....but we quickly found out we were wrong! Let's just say our leisure walk around Lake Fayetteville turned into a family hike!

After a long hike...we finally made it to the park

NWA Miracle League

Saturday was opening day for the NWA Miracle League!!!

Miracle League is a baseball league for special needs kids. Each child is paired up with a buddy, everyone gets a hit, and it's always a tied ballgame...."it's more than just baseball". They play on a special field made of rubber and it's painted to look like a baseball field. To learn more about Miracle League click here.
For opening day, the Razorback baseball team, Razorback Diamond Dolls, Rotary Club, and Ecclesia Baseball team came out to volunteer and support all the players. Strike, the mascot for the Naturals, was also there to cheer on everyone!
