TEAMworks Art Show

TEAM Talent is a local program of extra curricular activities for children with special needs.  The spring program focuses on art, with an entire semester spent help each child develop individualized works of art!

The TEAM Talent masterpieces were presented in an art show at the Botanical Garden.

TEAM Christmas...

We kicked off the holiday season with the TEAM Talent Christmas program...

TEAM Talent is an amazing group of kiddos that work all semester creating and learning their lines for the Christmas debut!

It was sweet, loving, and hilarious!  I look forward to their program every year...it definitely gets you in the Christmas spirit!

Our TEAM Christmas Party was a few weeks later.  We all got dresses up (out of the norm of our typical scrubs and T-shirts) and enjoyed a nice dinner at the country club and a fun time with friends!

Buddy Walk 2012

The Buddy Walk, a walk to raise awareness about Down Syndrome, was on October 6th.  

We always attend this walk as a family, but this was Ava Kate's 1st experience.  She really enjoyed visiting with all girls!

A cold front came in that morning, so we were all freezing.  We tired to bundle up, but we weren't quite prepared with all our winter gear yet.

The walk kicked off around 10:30 and the rain/hail started about 10:35!!

Back to work...

My maternity leave has come to an end!  I was blessed with 14 weeks at home with the kids, but I officially started back to work on January 2nd.   The kids have been home with family for now and will be starting daycare at the end of the month.  I enjoyed my time home but I also love my job...so starting back to work was bitter sweet!  Here's a picture of Ava Kate and I on my first day back....

TEAM Christmas

We kicked off Christmas at TEAM with TEAM Talent's play.  

The kids worked hard all semester and were quite the little stars!!  They even made a TV debute on KNWA....you can check it out here or at the following link.

We had our annual TEAM employee Christmas party at the Springdale Country Club.  It was a great time with good food, friends, and of course dancing!!  I love my TEAM family and couldn't imagine a better group of people to work with!!

TEAM Talent

TEAM Talent is an after school activity for kids with special needs. They gather once a week through out the school year for an acting class in the fall and an art glass in the spring. It's fun and exciting for everyone involved!!

They had their annual TEAM Talent Art Show display at the Fayetteville Town Center a few weeks ago. It was so much fun to look at all the art work and listen to them explain each piece. It was definitely a proud moment for all the kids....they were so excited to see all they artwork displayed!

Saturday...

I started my Saturday with a TEAM staff meeting. TEAM has grown so much and with every ones busy schedules, Saturday was the only time we could all get together. Some of the girls entertained us with song and dance...it was hilarious! I'm so blessed to work with such a great group of girls (and 2 guys)!!

After the staff meeting I meet Josh and Owen at the Razorback Softball game! It was such a great day to be outside. We were all in shorts and t-shirts...and actually got a little sunburned. Owen had a blast running everywhere! They had some blow up activities in the grass behind the outfield, so we spent the majority of the time out there.

Owen thought I needed to wear Parker's hat and that he needed to take a picture. I guess he thinks you're suppose to take a picture of everything since I always have a camera in my hand! Ha! I think we might have a little photographer on our hands.

After the game we were all hot, so we decided to go for some ice cream. We tired to go to CherryBerry, a self serve frozen yogurt place, but their grand opening isn't until next Friday....so we headed to Cold Stone in hopes of some low fat ice cream. Luckily they had one low-fat option that we added strawberries to and Owen LOVED! He ate the entire kid's cup by himself!
